I have completely let my workout routine flop in this pandemic. I hopped on the scale this morning and felt super defeated. I keep losing and gaining the same 10 lbs for Months. But it's #throwbackthursday, and I have to remember that if I was able to take off this much and keep it off, there's no reason why I can't keep going. It's entirely mental. Tomorrow I WON'T turn off my 6:30 workout alarm!!!
“I am a part of humanity, I am not exempt from the suffering. But I also know that light enters the darkness and overcomes it. I know that on the other side of sadness is joy. I know that the suffering is not for naught. I know that Easter comes...” ✝️
I truly believe that Easter was just not an event that happened one time, but something that happens in our own lives if we care to see it. 🙌🏼🌿
As we move closer to Easter, I want to invite you to not miss this opportunity to walk more closely with Christ through his passion, death and resurrection. Have a blessed Holy Thursday. 🙏
So we are a few minutes past Thursday (due to some video issues - Instagram I'm looking at you), but we found quite a treat for all of you! We have a sample of Ms. Mitchell showing her vocal talents during one of our karaoke lunch hours during Spirit Week... Hope you enjoy!!! 🤩 Also, if you know what room this is taken from, the videographer is always watching! 🤣 #throwbackthursday#demotape#eagleeyes
Reflecting on some old times in the city I love and have called home for the past 25+ years. Flashback here to 1995, grabbing a slice with my man Chris after the Rock Steady Reunion at its original location in Happy Warrior Park. Even when the shit really goes down here, it’s still better than pretty much anywhere else in the world. To quote a friend, “Why else would you choose to live at ‘Ground Zero’ if it wasn’t different than everywhere else.”
